1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using TasteBud, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Your account

You may create an account using your email address or use TasteBud as a guest. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Guest accounts store data locally on your device only.

3. How you can use TasteBud

TasteBud is for personal, non-commercial use. You may rate content, save watchlists, chat with the AI companion, and use all features as intended. You may not:

Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
Use automated tools to scrape data or abuse the AI features
Share your account credentials with others
Use TasteBud to harass, spam, or engage in illegal activity
Circumvent rate limits, premium features, or security measures

4. AI-generated content

TasteBud uses AI to generate recommendations, taste analysis, and chat responses. AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. We don't guarantee the accuracy, availability, or quality of any recommended content. Recommendations reflect your taste data, not endorsements.

5. Content and intellectual property

Movie, TV, book, and game metadata (titles, descriptions, posters) is sourced from third-party databases (TMDB, Open Library, RAWG) and belongs to their respective rights holders. TasteBud does not host, stream, or distribute any copyrighted content. Deep links direct you to official platforms where content can be legally accessed.

6. Premium subscriptions

Premium features are available through in-app purchases. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled by Google Play per their policies. We reserve the right to change pricing or features with reasonable notice.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of TasteBud is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in that policy.

8. Limitation of liability

TasteBud is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to inaccurate recommendations, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from app settings.
